Holywood Chamber has announced the launch of the highly anticipated Holywood Chamber Presidentโ€™s Awards, in partnership with the Spectator Newspaper Group. These bi-monthly awards are designed to elevate, celebrate, and recognise the very best of Holywood businesses, spotlighting the best of the best in our fantastic local community.

Over the course of the next 12 months, the Chamber President will personally present six awards to deserving local businesses in categories such as Best Family Business, Best New Business, Best Service-Based Business, Best Retailer, Excellence in Marketing, and Best in Hospitality. More than just accolades, these awards are a testament to the passion, dedication, and innovation that propel our local businesses to new heights.

Speaking at the launch of the awards at the new Holywood Wine Bar, Susi Diesel, Chamber President, said, ‘These awards embody more than mere recognition; they celebrate the essence of excellence and innovation that makes up the rich tapestry of our local town centre.

โ€œHolywood stands apart as a town comprised of over 100 businesses with a 90 per cent share of independent businesses, and our Chamber’s mission is to champion, acknowledge, and celebrate these enterprises.

โ€œThese awards are our vehicle to do just that. We encourage businesses to submit their entries and nominate themselves or others, as each winning entry will receive dedicated social media and PR coverage through our esteemed media partner, Spectator Group.'”

The awards categories are as follows;

Month 1: Best Family Business (March/April) – WINNER – HANNAHS FLORIST

Criteria for selecting the winner of the Best Family Business award may include factors such as business longevity, innovation, community involvement, and overall success.

Month 2: Best Service Based Business (May/June) WINNER – MORTGAGE IQ WITH RUNNERS UP AUDIOCARE & KOKO BARBER

– Criteria for selecting the winner of the Best Service Based Business award will include factors such as customer reviews and testimonials, staff expertise and professionalism, range of services offered, quality of facilities and equipment, and overall customer satisfaction ratings.

Month 3: Outstanding Customer Service (July/August)

-Criteria includes exceptional customer service and has received positive feedback or testimonials from satisfied customers could be nominated for this award.

Month 4: Excellence in Marketing (September/October)

– Criteria for selecting the winner of the Excellence in Marketing award may include factors such as the creativity and originality of the marketing campaign, the effectiveness of the strategy in achieving business objectives, the level of audience engagement and interaction generated, and the overall impact on brand visibility and awareness.

Month 5: Best in Retail (November/December)

– Criteria for selecting the winner of the Best Retailer award may include factors such as product quality and variety, store ambiance and presentation, customer service excellence, community engagement, and overall customer satisfaction ratings.

Month 6: Best in Hospitality (Jan/Feb)

– Criteria for selecting the winner of the Best in Hospitality award may include factors such as the quality and creativity of the menu offerings, the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness and upkeep of the facilities, the efficiency of the service, and the overall atmosphere and ambiance of the establishment.
