Business Adaption & Improvement Grant
Ards and North Down Borough Council has been awarded further funding by the Department for Communities and the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs for the implementation of Tranche 2 of the Business Adaptation & Improvement Grant Scheme, which will now cover businesses outside the town centre boundary area and all the rural areas.
The scheme will provide financial assistance to businesses to carry out adjustments and improvements to their properties that service their business, in order to assist them to continue to operate. A maximum grant of £2,500 is available per application. If an award has already been made in the first tranche, this will be taken against the maximum grant award.
Applications open on Monday 18 January 2021 and close at 12 noon on Monday 1 February 2021. Please see Ards & North Down Council for further information.
Limited Company Director’s Support Scheme
The Limited Company Director’s Support Scheme (LCDSS) will provide an initial one-off taxable grant of £1,000 to eligible company directors who meet the eligibility criteria. While applications are invited from individuals who hold more than one directorship, only one application is allowed per person. Business Interruption Insurance Ruling
Tens of thousands of small businesses will receive insurance payouts covering losses from the first national lockdown, following a court ruling. The Supreme Court found largely in favour of small firms receiving payments from business interruption insurance policies. Fin out more here.
